SEGUIN, Texas - The Howard Payne Lady Jacket volleyball lost in four games 3-1 to Texas Lutheran University Tuesday evening in American Southwest Conference action.

TLU defeated Howard Payne 25-20, 25-17, 23-25, 25-15. 

Sydney Bryant paced Howard Payne with 12 kills. She added 14 digs. Tamika Heline recorded 10 kills and 14 digs. Lady Jacket libero Kristin Hammond made a match-best and new career high 34 digs.

TLU's Jahns and Stetler each collected 19 kills. TLU hit .238 as a team and held HPU to .121.

Howard Payne fell to 7-12 overall and to 5-6 in the American Southwest Conference West Division. TLU improved to 13-5 overall and to 10-3 in the ASC West Division. 

The Lady Jackets play next in Abilene in the ASC Crossover Tournament. They will open the tournament against Mississippi College on Friday.
