Lady Jackets Lose In Abilene

BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University volleyball team fell in three straight to American Southwest Conference opponent Hardin-Simmons Thursday evening.

The Lady Jackets fell 3-0 (16-25, 15-25, 20-25)  to Hardin-Simmons University. HPU only managed a .100 attack pct for the match. Tamika Heline led HPU with 6 kills.  Amber Cantu-Curry had 18 assists and 9 digs followed by Kristin Hammond with 11 digs.

Madison Reyes led HSU with 14 kills and Erin Davis recorded 26 assists.

Howard Payne moves to 7-4 overall and 1-2 in ASC play while Hardin-Simmons improves 5-3, 1-0 in ASC action.

Howard Payne plays next Tuesday at home versus Schreiner University at 7:00 pm.
