BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne women's basketball held the University of Texas at Dallas to just 26% shooting to secure a 76-62 conference win Saturday afternoon.

After holding a 35-28 halftime lead, the Lady Jackets would outscore UT-Dallas 41-34 in the second half to post the 76-62 victory.

Tresta Dobahoo led HPU with16 points and nine assists. Dana Marrs followed with 14 points sparked by 3 of 3 shooting from behind the arc. Britani Gattis finished with nine points and four steals. McKamie Place added nine points and six rebounds off the bench.

Morgan Kilgore led UT-Dallas with a game high 20 points an Jo'Anna Davis followed with 15 points. Katie Korioth had 11 points and 16 rebounds.

HPU now stands at 11-2 overall and 6-1 in ASC action. UT-Dallas falls to 11-2 overall and 7-1 in conference. The Lady Jackets will play at home next Thursday versus Schreiner University at 5:30 pm.
