2011-12- McKamie played in 13 games for the Lady Jackets scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. She was 2 of 4 from behind the three-point line.

HS: McKamie is a 2011 graduate of Gatesville High School in Gatesville, Texas where she lettered 4 years in Basketball.  While playing for the Hornets, she earned the honors of Newcomer of the Year in 2007, 1st Team All-District, District MVP, All-Region Team, Super Cen-Tex 1st Team, and was Team Captain. In the middle of the 2009-2010 season, she reached 1,000 points in her high school career. In addition to athletics, she was involved in numerous extra-curricular activities. She was a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Drum Line, Student Council, Yearbook, and Band. She held such leadership positions as Yearbook Editor, Section leader, and Jr. and Sr. Class President. During her Senior year, she was named “Best All Around,” “Best Leader,” and “Most Athletic.” 

Personal: McKamie is the youngest daughter of Allen and Tonya Place of Gatesville, Texas. She has four older siblings, three older sisters and one older brother. McKamie is an Exercise Sports Science major who has the ambition of coaching girls’ basketball in college.
