SALEM, Oregon - The Howard Payne University men's soccer team opened their 2013 campaign with a 4-0 loss to Willamette University.

Howard Payne senior goal keeper Ryan Young recorded six saves and allowed four in the 90 minutes in goal. The Yellow Jackets were out shot 23-8 in the game.

Kevin Ruiz led HPU with three shot and Alez Sanchez followed with two. David Goss had the Jackets only shot on goal.

The Jackets will play Linfield College on Saturday before finishing out their trip to Oregon with Pacific University on Monday.
