Box Score BROWNWOOD, Texas - Despite outshooting Dallas Christian College 32-11 the Howard Payne men's soccer team fall 2-1 in double overtime Thursday afternoon at Citizens National Bank Soccer Field.

Howard Payne would score early when Edgar Villa found the back of the net on a Ben Chism pass just 2:01 into the game. 

HPU keeper Ryan Young spoiled a Dallas Christian penalty kick attempt in the 42nd minute to keep the score 1-0 Yellow Jackets at halftime.

DCC would then score on a penalty kick in the 51st minute after Young fouled DCC's Mendoza in the box. The PK was good and the match was tied at 1-1. Young received a red card and the Jackets played down one player the rest of the match.

After regulation ended and one overtime period, DCC would score the game winner in the 101st minute.

Howard Payne outshot DCC 32-11 and 12-7 on shots on goal. Brice Gardner would play in goal after Young left the game recording two saves in 59 minutes of work. Young finished with two saves in 51 minutes of action.

Howard Payne stands at 1-6 overall and DCC improves to 3-6 overall. The Jackets will play NCAA II McMurry University in Abilene on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
