AUSTIN, Texas - The Howard Payne men's soccer team posted their first tie of the season 0-0 against Concordia Texas Friday evening in conference action.
Concordia did outshoot Howard Payne 16-12 overall but both teams recorded seven shots on goal each. Howard Payne had seven corner kicks to Concordia's three.
Alex Sanchez led HPU with four shots, two on goal, and
Jacob Moore followed with three, all on goal.
Shay Pate finished with two shots.
Brice Gardner played all 110 minutes in goal for the Jackets recording seven saves.Â
Howard Payne is now 1-6-1 overall and 0-1-1 in ASC play. Concordia stands at 5-5-1 overall and 0-2-1 in conference. The Yellow Jackets will play the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday starting at 7:00 pm in Belton, Texas.
