PINEVILLE, Louisiana - The Howard Payne men's soccer team second period comeback came up short as the Yellow Jackets dropped a non-conference match 4-2 to Louisiana College Friday afternoon.
Despite a 30 minute lightning delay to start the match, Louisiana College used three first half goals, including one just 25 seconds into the match, to take an early lead.Â

The Yellow Jackets got back into the match quickly to start the second half scoring two goals within the first three minutes to make the score 3-2.
Alex Sanchez found the net just 12 seconds into the second half.Â
Jacob Moore would bring the Jackets to within one 3-2 just three minutes later in the 49th minute. The Wildcats then sealed the victory scoring from 20 yards out in the 58th minute.
Allan Chehadi got the loss in goal for Howard Payne playing all 90 minutes and recording two saves, Along with his one goal, Alez Sanchez had five total shots, four on goal.
Howard Payne is now 0-3-0 on the year and Louisiana College stands at 2-1-0 overall. The Yellow Jackets will finish out their road trip tomorrow playing Centenary College of Louisiana on Saturday at 6:00 pm.
