TYLER, Texas – The Howard Payne volleyball team fell to East Texas Baptist University 3-0 (13-25, 12-25, 18-25)  in day two of the American Southwest Conference Crossover Challenge on Saturday afternoon.

ETBU led the match in kills, digs and assists giving the Lady Jackets a tough competition all match.

For Howard Payne, Micah Cisneroz and Shelbie Harry each had seven kills. Katie Schulte led with 11 assists. Cheyanne Lovelady followed with 10. Analisa Anzaldua picked up 13 digs on the match.

Mallory Sanders led ETBU with 11 kills. Britni Mosher had 8 on the match. Alexis Zolan led with 13 assists and Hannah Jones had 18 digs.

The Lady Jackets are now 1-17 on the year and 1-9 in conference. ETBU sits at 20-3 overall and is 8-2 in conference play. Howard Payne will be back in action on Friday, October 23rd as they travel to Austin to take on Concordia University Texas at 7:00 p.m.
