AUSTIN, Texas – The Lady Jacket volleyball team fell in three sets (19-25, 19-25, and 14-25) to Concordia University Texas on Friday evening.
Howard Payne and Concordia battled back and forth in the first and second set, but the third set was a different story as the Lady Jackets allowed CTX to jump out to an early 10-4 lead creating too big of a deficit to come back from.
Micah Cisneroz led in kills with seven.
Shelbie Harry had six on the night.
Cheyanne Lovelady and
Katie Schulte each had 12 assists apiece.
Analisa Anzaldua had 12 digs on the night.
Concordia held the upper hand offensively, picking up 43 kills and 41 assists on the match. Katie Baker and Skye Truss each had 11 kills. K'Lyn Brigance had 20 assists. Nacole Miller added 14. Lexi Perez had 15 digs on the night.
Howard Payne is now 1-18 on the year and 1-10 in conference. Concordia sits at 10-8 and holds a 6-5 conference record. The Lady Jackets will play again on Saturday, October 24th as they take on the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor at 2:00 p.m.
