BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne women's tennis team fell to 0-2 in conference play with a 7-2 loss to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Friday morning at the Nabers Tennis Center.

Howard Payne would pick up just on single point and one double point in the match versus UMHB.

Chesney Goza defeated Angelie Juaneza of UMHB 6-2, 7-5 in number two single play. And,Goza also teamed with Alex Marlin to defeat Hannah Warren and Paola Nunez of UMHB 8-3 in number one doubles action.

Howard Payne is now 2-11 overall and 0-2 ASC play.,Mary Hardin-Baylor stands at 6-5 overall and 1-1 in ASC. The Lady Jackets will play next on April 8th versus Sul Ross State in Alpine, Texas.
