BELTON, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's tennis team dropped a conference decision 6-3 to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Jackets started the day with a 2-1 advantage taking the number one and two doubles matches 9-7 and 8-5, Alex Marlin and Erin McCleer defeated Haley Hicks and Tara Pergande of UMHB 9-7 in number one doubles and Brittony Walker and Callie Molloy won 8-5 in number two doubles.

Callie Molloy would pick up the only singles point for the Lady Jackets winning 7-6, 1-6, 10-6 in the number five singles spot.

Howard Payne is now 5-8 overall and 1-2 in American Southwest Conference West Division play. Mary Hardin-Baylor stands at 3-7 overall and 2-1 in league action.
