BEAUMONT, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's basketball team loss 101-37 to NCAA Division I Lamar University Tuesday evening .

Presley McKethan led Howard Payne with 13 points on 3 of 8 shooting from behind the arc. The Lady Jackets were outrebounded 55-34 while also committing 43 turnovers.

With Lamar leading 7-6 two and a half minutes into the game, Howard Payne would be out scored 24-2 to finish out the first quarter.

The Lady Jackets would continue to struggle offensively shooting only 20.4% from the field on the way the 101-37 final.

Freshman Chelsey Harris followed McKethan with 10 points. Chelsi Woodard added a game high seven blocks.

Howard Payne is now 1-2 overall and Lamar stands at 3-2 on the year. The Lady Jackets will play next at the Southwestern University Turkey Classic in Georgetown, Texas on Nov. 25-26.
