BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's tennis team fell 9-0 to Trinity University Saturday afternoon at the Nabers Tennis Center.

Despite losing 9-0, the Lady Jackets were very competitive in several matches on the day. 

The number one doubles team of Alex Marlin and Chesney Goza narrowly fell to Meredith Jackson and Ashley DeBauge of Trinity 8-6 to start the day.

HPU's Callie Molloy took Elena Wilson to a first set tie break before falling 7-5, 6-1 in number six singles play.

Howard Payne is now 0-3 to start the team season and will play next on Saturday, Feb.18th at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas.
