DALLAS, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's tennis team finished up a busy weekend with matches versus Austin College, Texas Wesleyan University and Southwestern College (KS).
On Friday, the Lady Jackets were in Sherman, Texas at Austin College. Despite the 1-8 outcome, Howard Payne was competitive with number six singles player
Callie Molloy taking her matchup 6-2, 6-2 over Shelby Bagby of AC.
Chesney Goza narrowly fell in number four singles play 6-0, 3-6, 1-0 to Anamariia of Austin College.

Saturday morning, Howard Payne took on Texas Wesleyan University in a very close match ending in a 3-6 TWU outcome. Although HPU dropped all three doubles matchups, the number three doubles team of Breanna Hunt and
Callie Molloy took Ashton Willis and Heather Birge of TWU to the brink, 9-7.
HPU picked up all three of its points in singles play, the four, five and six spots on the ladder.
Chesney Goza won 0-6, 6-3, 10-3 in number four singles.
Breanna Hunt won 6-2, 3-6, 10-8 in number five singles and in number six singles Callie Molly picked up her second win of the weekend 1-6, 6-2, 10-7.

In the afternoon, the Lady Jackets played against Southwestern College (KS) falling 2-7. This time HPU picked up its points in double play with
Erin McCleer and
Brittony Walker winning 9-7 in number two doubles and Hunt and Molloy winning 9-8 (7-5) in number three doubles.
