AUSTIN, Texas - The Howard Payne University baseball team fell 7-1 in its series finale with conference opponent Concordia University Texas Sunday afternoon.
The Yellow Jackets were held to five hits in the game while Concordia recorded 13.

Chandler Clark (0-2) got the loss in the loss in the start for HPU allowing six runs on six hits in 2.1 innings.
Brenden Clanton threw 3.2 innings of relief allowing one run on six hits with two strikeouts.
Evan Rodriguez went the final two frames allowing just one hit.
Howard Payne is now 18-15 overall and 6-12 in American Southwest Conference play. Concordia stands at 23-11 overall and 16-5 in league action. The Jackets will play next on April 20-21 in Alpine, Texas versus Sul Ross State University.
