2019: Had 19 relief appearances for the Jackets with a 1.35 ERA in 20 innings on the season. His seven saves and 17 games finished were both the highest in the American Southwest Conference. This is his second time receiving all-conference honors.

2018: Brenden was named Honorable Mention All-Conference as a relief pitcher. With a team best 1.74 earned run avg., he had a 2-0 overall record with two saves. In 31.0 innings thrown, he had a season high six strikeouts versus Sul Ross State.

2017: Played in 13 games for the Jackets recording 6 RBIs on seven hits in 48 at bats. 

College: Played one season at Odessa College before transferring to Howard Payne for his sophomore season.

High School: Clanton graduated from Levelland High School in 2014 where he played three years of varsity baseball while also participating in football. He was tabbed as an Oakley All-American in 2013 and a first team All-District selection in 2015. 

Personal: Brenden is the son of Brad and Melissa Clanton and he has three siblings. Majoring in social studies and wants to become a coach in the future. He was selected to tryout for the USA Baseball Junior Olympic team out of high school and was a member of the National Honor Society.
