RICHARDSON, Texas –  Brackets for the 2018 American Southwest Conference Men's and Women's Tennis Championship Tournaments were announced on Sunday, April 22.
 
The ASC Women's Championship is played first and will be hosted by UT Tyler, top seed in the East Division. Matches begin with quarterfinals on Thursday, April 26. Semifinal play is Friday, April 27 and the final on Saturday, April 28. All matches are scheduled at Summers Tennis Center in Tyler.
 
ASC Men's Championship play is scheduled May 3-5 and will be hosted by the UT Dallas, the No. 1 seed in the West Division. Quarterfinals are May 3, semifinals May 4 and the final May 5. All matches will be held at the UTD Tennis Courts in Richardson.
 
The UT Tyler men open the postseason as four-time defending champions (2014, 15, 16, 17) and have won nine of the last 10 tournaments. The East Texas Baptist women will defend the women's title after claiming its first crown in 2017.

The men's and women's ASC champions will each earn the ASC automatic berth into their respective NCAA Division III Tennis Championships.
 
In the women's tournament, UT Tyler (13-7) finished the season undefeated in conference play at 5-0 claiming the East Division title and No. 1 East seed. East Texas Baptist (5-9) is the second seed in the East followed by LeTourneau (8-9) and Ozarks (2-15) as third and fourth seeds, respectively. UT Dallas (10-3) also posted an unblemished Division record (6-0) to claim top-seed in the West with Hardin-Simmons (4-15) the No. 2 seed. Howard Payne (6-13) is third seed and Concordia Texas (8-9) is the fourth seed.
 
In the men's tournament, UT Tyler (17-4) was 5-0 in the East Division for the top seed position. East Texas Baptist (5-9) and Ozarks (8-10) are second and third seeds in the East with LeTourneau (4-13) earning fourth seed. West Division No. 1 seed UT Dallas (9-1) was a perfect 6-0 in conference play. Hardin-Simmons (6-12) is seeded second, Mary Hardin-Baylor (4-7) the third seed, and Concordia Texas (8-8) the West No. 4 seed.
 
Please Note -- Per American Southwest Conference policy, pets -- leashed or unleashed -- are prohibited at all ASC championship events. Only certified service animals that are marked, properly trained and leashed are permitted at events.
