Brownwood, Texas – The Howard Payne Volleyball Club fell short in an American Southwest contest against the War Hawks of McMurry 3-0.

After a hard fought first set that ended 25-19 in McMurry's favor, the Lady Jackets just couldn't sting back, dropping set two 25-10 and the third set 25-17.

Mitsue Rodriguez led the club with 7 kills followed by Mya Ross's 6. Canyon Hughes and Logan Boyd added 2 blocks a piece, while Logan Boyd and Kaitlyn Eisten had double digit assists (12 and 10). Kylee Shirley tallied up 13 digs in the loss as well.

The Lady Jackets fall to 2-14, but get a chance to land in the win column tomorrow as the Mountaineers of Shriner come to town. First serve for that contest will be at 6:00 pm in the Coliseum.
