BELTON, Texas- The Howard Payne University men's soccer team fell 5-0 after a strong second half by the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor earlier this afternoon.
After a scoreless first half by both teams, UMHB scored the first goal on the match in the 47th minute of the second half. The Cru added four more over the course of the period ending the match 5-0.
The Yellow Jackets fell behind 7-24 in total shots and 3-12 in shots on goal. Junior forward
Esdras Calvac led with three shots all on goal for the Jackets, a new season high.

Andrew Hackney played the full 90 minutes in the goal for the Yellow Jackets recording seven saves and allowing the five goals.
Howard Payne is now 3-8 overall and 1-3 in American Southwest Conference play, while the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor is now 6-4-1 overall and 3-2-0 in conference action. The Yellow Jackets will hit the road this Saturday Oct. 12th to take on Concordia University Texas in a 3:30 pm match played in Austin.
