ROUND ROCK, Texas- The Howard Payne University men's soccer team fell 1-0 after Concordia University was able to score the only goal of the match in the 70th minute Saturday afternoon.

The Yellow Jackets fell behind 6-24 in total shots an 9-3 in shots on goal, with three different Yellow Jackets; Zachary Moreno, Alejandro Lopez and Joshua Rodriquez recording shots on goal.

Junior Yellow Jacket goal keeper Andrew Hackney played all 90 minutes in the goal recoding eight saves and allowing one goal.

Howard Payne is now 3-10 overall and 1-5 in American Southwest Conference play, while Concordia University is now 6-5-2 overall and 4-1-1 in conference play. The Yellow Jackets will play a 3:30 pm match against Hardin-Simmons University on Thursday Oct. 17th at Citizens National Bank Field.
