JACKSON, Miss. - The Howard Payne University men's soccer team fell 5-0 to Belhaven University Thursday evening in conference action.
After leading 2-0 at the half, Belhaven scored three second period goals to claim the match 5-0.
Howard Payne would be outshot 25-12 overall but closer in shots on goal, 8-6 Belhaven.

Alexander Paz each finished with four shots and two shots on goal.

Andrew Hackney allowed five goals and recorded two saves in 79 minutes of action.
Matt Prall played the final 11 minutes recording one save.
Howard Payne is now 3-7-0 overall and 1-2-0 in American Southwest Conference action. Belhaven stands at 7-2-0 overall and 1-2-0 in league play. The Jackets will play next on Saturday at Louisiana College in Pineville, LA. It will be a 2:30 pm start time.
