HOUSTON, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's basketball team fell 104-53 at the University of St. Thomas Monday evening in non-conference action.

Jase Miguez led the Yellow Jackets with game high 15 points. Kyle Kildare grabbed a game high 11 rebounds followed by Tyrell Thompson with nine boards.

The Jackets struggled offensively connecting on just 26% of their shots while committing 25 turnovers in the game.

St. Thomas led 56-26 at the half and continued to shoot well in the second half, 50.7% for the game, on the way to the 104-53 final.

Nathan Ghavidal led UST with 14 points followed by Calan Anderson with 13 points.

Howard Payne is now 1-8 overall and St Thomas if 6-0 on the year. The Yellow Jackets will play next at home on Sat., Dec. 21st in their conference opener against Sul Ross State University. It will be a 3:00 pm start time.
