RICHARDSON, Texas - Howard Payne University's Chelsey Harris scored 22 points in a 83-59 loss at #22 University of Texas at Dallas Thursday evening in conference action.

HPU's Chelsey Harris scored a game-high 22 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. Harris was 7 of 13 from the field and 7 of 11 from the free-throw line.

Despite outscoring UT Dallas in the second and third quarters, the Lady Jackets could not overcome a 24 point first quarter by the Comets. UT Dallas went on to outrebound HPU 44-36 and force 25 Lady Jacket turnovers in the game.

Amanda Turpin followed Harris' game high with 18 points and three blocks. Bria Neal added eight points and a game-high nine rebounds with three steals.

UT Dallas was led by Jordan Maxwell with 16 points

Howard Payne is now 2-6 overall and 1-2 in American Southwest Conference action. UTD stands at 4-1 overall and 3-0 in league play. The Lady Jackets will play next this Saturday at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas.
