BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's soccer team fell 1-0 to Sul Ross State University this afternoon in a match at Citizens National Bank Field.
The Yellow Jackets were able to hold off the Lobos until the 70
th minute of the game, keeping the first half tied 0-0.
Junior Saavedra recorded three shots for the Yellow Jackets followed byÂ
Zachary Moreno with two.

Eduardo Flores played all 90 minutes in goal for the Jackets, recording three saves. Both teams had a total of seven shots in the match.
Howard Payne is now 0-2 on the season and Sul Ross is 1-0 overall. The Yellow Jackets will be on the road in a week to take on Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas on Thursday, March 4
th at 5:00 P.M.
