ABILENE, Texas- The Howard Payne University men's soccer team fell 2-0 to Hardin Simmons University Thursday evening.

The Yellow Jackets held off the Cowboys until the 33rd minute of the game. Eduardo Flores was the goalkeeper for Howard Payne. He recorded four saves.

The Yellow Jackets fell behind in shots 17-7. Homero Pena, Zachery Moreno, Erick Marcia, and Junior Saavedra all recorded shots on goal for HPU.

Howard Payne is now 0-3 on the season and 0-2 in the American Southwest Conference. Hardin Simmons improves to 4-3 overall and 3-0 in conference play. The Yellow Jackets will play again on Monday, March 8th at 3:30 pm in Brownwood, Texas.
