AUSTIN, Texas- The Howard Payne University volleyball team fell to Concordia 3-0 and 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Game One
The Lady Jackets dropped three straight sets by scores of 25-12, 25-20, and 25-17.
Maya Ross led the lady jackets with eight kills and game-high 17 digs.
Riley Britain had 13 assists, followed by
Kaitlyn Elsten with eight.
Sarah Ghormley led the Tornadoes with 14 kills and 12 digs. Georgia Quiroz had 27 assists.
Game two
The Lady Jackets were unable to find their rhythm, dropping three straight sets in game two of the afternoon. The scores were 25-12, 25-17, and 25-13.
Leading Howard Payne was
Mya Ross with eight kills.
Riley Britain led in assists with 19.
Chloe Pryor added nine digs.
Georgia Quiroz had 44 assists and 16 digs for Concordia. Sarah Ghormley led in kills with 17.
Howard Payne falls to 3-13 on the season and 0-12 in conference play. Concordia improves to 6-2 overall and 6-2 in the conference. The Lady Jackets will take on McMurry in a doubleheader on Tuesday, March, 16th starting at 5 pm in Brownwood, Texas.
