BROWNWOOD, Texas- The Howard Payne University men's soccer team fell 5-0 to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Monday afternoon at Citizens National Bank Field.
Howard Payne fell behind 2-27 in total shots.
Noah Platzer and
Brandon Osborne both recorded shots for the Yellow Jackets.
The Jackets were able to hold off the Cru until the 25th minute of the game. The Cru went on to score three more times in the first half, putting HPU at a 4-0 disadvantage.
Goalkeepers
Eduardo Flores and
Andrew Hackney played 45 minutes each for Howard Payne. Flores recorded two saves and allowed four goals. Hackney recorded five saves, allowing just one goal.
The Jackets fall to 0-4 on the season and 0-3 in conference play. The Cru improves to 4-0-1 overall and 2-0-1 in conference play. Howard Payne will take on Mary-Hardin Baylor on March 14th in Belton, Texas, at 5 pm.
