MARSHALL, Texas- The Howard Payne University volleyball team fell to East Texas Baptist University 3-0 Friday night. 

The Lady Jackets lost in the three straight sets by scores of 25-14, 25-8, and 26-24. 

Mya Ross led Howard Payne with seven kills, followed by Mitsue Rodriguez with five. Riley Brittain had nine assists, followed by Kaitlyn Elsten with seven. Rylee Spencer recorded three blocks, and Abbie Knepper had two.

Avery Reid led the Tigers with nine kills. Jenna Helms had 15 assists.

With tonight's loss, Lady Jackets fall to 1-6 on the season. They will play Belhaven University on Saturday, Sept. 18th, in Jackson, Mississippi, at 2 pm.
