ABILENE, Texas- The Howard Payne University volleyball team dropped their match against McMurry University this Saturday afternoon 3-0.
 
Howard Payne fought hard in the first set, just falling short 25-22. The second set ended with a score of 25-13 and the third set with a score of 25-14.
 
HPU's Madison Spencer led the team with 14 digs. She was followed by Carsyn Bilbrey with 11. For assists, Riley Brittain had nine, followed by Kaitlyn Elsten with six. Mitsue Rodriguez and Carsyn Bilbrey both had five kills for the Lady Jackets.
 
The Lady Jackets' record is now 1-6 for the season. They will compete at home in Brownwood, against Austin College at 6:00 pm, Sept. 13^th!
