HOWARD PAYNE
Last week Howard Payne ended a five-game win streak over McMurry University with a 45-21 loss to the War Hawks on the road.

QB Landon McKinney was 31 of 50 passing for 344 yards, three TDs, and one interception. Jordan Carroll led all receivers with nine catches for 119 yards and one touchdown. KJ Kelley led the HPU defense with seven tackles followed by KD Bookman with six.

McKinney is one touchdown pass away from tying the HPU record for TD passes in a career, With McKinney at 83, the current HPU record for TD passes in a career is 84 by Scott Lincher (1991-1994).

The Yellow Jackets have won the last two meetings between the schools.

TEXAS LUTHERAN
Last week, Texas Lutheran lost at home to East Texas Baptist 16-6.
 
Starting QB Caden Bosanko is 46 of 88 passing for 504 yards and five passing touchdowns and three rushing. Bosanko's top target will be Jacob Wallace who has 319 yards and three TDs on the season.
 
The majority of the Bulldog offense has come in the rushing game, running back Jacob Forton has 100 carries for 404 yards and six TDs.
 
Punter Cameron Welch is sixth in NCAA Division-III in punting average (42.7 yards per punt).
