HOWARD PAYNE
The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 31-27 victory at home over Texas Lutheran. HPU QB Landon McKinney was named the ASC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after going 34 of 45 passing for 450 yards, three TDs, and one interception.

McKinney's three touchdowns broke the HPU record for TD passes in a career, now with 85. The previous HPU record for TD passes in a career was 84 by Scott Lincher (1991-1994).

McKinney is also just 28 completions away from breaking the HPU career record of 653 held by Scott Lincher (1991-1994).

KJ Kelley anchored the Yellow Jacket defense last week with 17 (10 solo). Kelley is currently 2nd in the ASC in tackles with 73 and leads the league in interceptions with six.

The Yellow Jackets lead the league in interceptions with six and pass breakups.

SUL ROSS STATE
Ineligible for the conference championship due to reclassification to NCAA D-II, Sul Ross is 3-5 overall after a 24-10 loss last week at East Texas Baptist.

Andrew Martinez is the Lobos top passer with 1,324 yards and 10 touchdowns. Isiah Pena is their top target with 29 catches for 471 yards and four TDs. Rodd Hudson and Martinez each have over 200 yards rushing on the ear and a pair of touchdowns each.

This is the 81^st meeting between the two schools
