BROWNWOOD, Texas- Today the College Sports Communicators announced the 2022-2023 Academic All-District recipients and three Howard Payne University women's basketball players were recognized.

Elaina Buchanan - So. - Kinesiology
Playing in 21 games for the Lady Jackets, Buchanan had a total of 41 points, 85 rebounds, 15 steals, and seven blocks. She had a season high of 11 rebounds versus University of St. Thomas.

Trynadee Greenwell - Sr. – Kinesiology
Starting in 24 games for HPU, Greenwell scored 210 points, had 111 rebounds, 48 assists, and 28 steals on the season. Her season high was against University of the Ozarks with 20 points.

Bria Neal - Sr. - Criminal Justice
Neal started in 24 games for the Lady Jackets. She scored a total of 301 points, had 202 rebounds, 27 assists, and 20 steals. Neal had a season high of 21 points versus McMurry University and 16 rebounds versus the Ozarks.

The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
