BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University softball team ended its conference series at home against the University of Texas at Dallas with a 10-0 loss Friday afternoon.

Four Howard Payne fielding errors led to a 10-0 final for UT Dallas in five innings.

Amber Williams, McKeanne Saenz, and Makayla Wesley all had hits for the Lady Jackets.

Bree Cason got the loss in the start for HPU allowing four runs on six hits in 3.0 innings while striking out two. Sydney West and Maddison Cason each saw one inning of relief. West Allowed five runs on six hits and Maddison allowed one run and struckout two.

Howard Payne is now 5-19 overall and 1-15 in American Southwest Conference play. UT Dallas stands at 18-7 overall and 11-4 in league action. The Lady Jackets will play next on Thursday, April 13th at Austin College in Sherman, Texas in a double-header starting at 5:30 pm.
