BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Howard Payne University volleyball team lost 3-2 versus Vernon College in an exhibition match on Monday, September 11
th.
The Lady Jackets won sets two and four with a score of 25-18. They lost the other sets with scores of 25-20, 25-23, 15-12.
Brooke O'Neal led HPU with 12 kills and four blocks followed by
Brylee Awbrey's nine kills.
Rylee Spencer tallied five blocks with
Jayden Harrison recording 24 digs.
Riley Brittain totaled a season-high 36 assists.
Makenzie Weddel and
Rylee McAlexander finished with two aces a piece.
The Lady Jackets will look to add on to their historic start taking on Schreiner University at the Brownwood Coliseum on Wednesday, September 13
th at 6:00 PM.
