BROWNWOOD, Texas - The American Southwest Conference today announced the list of men's soccer pre-season players to watch and Howard Payne University's
Deaven Connelly,
Taylor Hefner, and
Ethan Mauldin were recognized on the list.

Junior defender
Deaven Connelly started in all 17 games for HPU totaling 1401 minutes. Connelly totaled seven shots with four on frame including a season-high three shots versus Centenary (LA). Connelly's has received All-Conference honors for two straight year and is sure to be pushing for a third.
Senior midfielder
Taylor Hefner started in all 17 games for the Yellow Jackets, logging 1381 minutes. Hefner led HPU in assists and was tied for second in the ASC with five. He also scored two goals while taking 26 shots with 10 on frame. He took a season-high three shots while scoring one goal in a 3-2 win over UT Dallas.
Junior forward
Ethan Mauldin started in 15 games for HPU last season, receiving 1044 minutes of action. Mauldin finished second in goals for the Yellow Jackets scoring four. He had two game-winners, highlighted with his goal versus LeTourneau helping HPU qualify for the ASC Tournament. Mauldin recorded 16 shots with seven on goal.
