Howard Payne men's basketball delivered one more holiday treat Friday night, rolling past Centenary (La.) 103–82 at the Brownwood Coliseum to cap a festive Sting 'Em with Santa doubleheader with the Women's team winning earlier in the day. 

The Yellow Jackets put on an offensive show worthy of the season, topping the 100-point mark yet again and improving to an impressive 9–3 on the year. HPU set the tone early, pouring in 52 first-half points and never letting the Grinche's spoil the celebration.

Armonie Ramey led the way with 27 points, stuffing the stat sheet while directing the offense with six assists. Ben Phillip added 21 points, knocking down four three-pointers, while Trey Jackson chipped in 15 points off the bench. Jordan McClendon finished with 13 points and four assists as the Jackets showcased balanced scoring throughout the lineup.

Howard Payne shot efficiently all night, moved the ball well, and controlled the glass with a 48–25 rebounding advantage. The Jackets also capitalized at the free-throw line, going 24-for-29 to keep Centenary at arm's length as the second half unfolded.

Friday's win sends HPU into the holiday break on a high note, but also marks the start of a lengthy road stretch. The Jackets will be away from home for more than a month and won't return to the Brownwood Coliseum until Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 6:00 p.m.

Before hitting the road, Howard Payne made sure to leave fans with one last gift—another triple-digit performance and plenty of Christmas cheer.
