BROWNWOOD, Texas -- Kiana Henning, Tatum Walker and Madison Clay combined to score 25 of Howard Payne's 32 total points, but the Lady Jackets fell to the Texas-Dallas Comets 78-32 at home Saturday.
Walker led the Lady Jackets (4-17) with eight points and six rebounds. Clay added eight points and eight rebounds and Henning helped out with nine points.
How It Happened
Howard Payne struggled out of the gate, falling behind 25-6 at the end of the first quarter.
The Lady Jackets continued to lose ground in the second quarter and faced a 38-11 halftime deficit.
Howard Payne's deficit continued to grow after halftime, and the Lady Jackets faced a 62-24 disadvantage heading to the fourth quarter.
Howard Payne could not pull any closer in the fourth, losing by a final of 78-32. Howard Payne got a boost from its bench in the period, with non-starters scoring five of its eight total points.
