BROWNWOOD, Texas --The Howard Payne Yellow Jackets fell 13-1 in an eight-inning matchup to the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs Tuesday.
B. Chambers (1-1) started and took the loss on the mound for Howard Payne (6-9). K. Kuligowsk was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going 1.1 shutout innings while allowing one hit, walking none and striking out two.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Yellow Jackets were trailing 13-0 in the seventh inning when they first put runs on the board. S. Bowman came across to score the lone run of the inning for Howard Payne and get them on the board. The Yellow Jackets were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.
