DALLAS, Texas – The American Southwest Conference today announced the 2024-25 ASC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Teams and Howard Payne University's Elise Munoz was named to the team list for softball.
 
A Third Team All-Conference and CSC Academic All-District selection, Elise Munoz was selected to the 2025 ASC Softball All-Tournament Team, The HPU senior outfielder was 2-for-3 at the plate in the opening round game of the ASC Championship Tournament. On the year, Munoz is third in the ASC in hitting pct. at .462 and second in on-base pct. at .562. She is also in the top ten in the league in five other offensive categories.
 
Student-athletes were nominated by their institution as part of the Distinguished Scholar-Athlete team for each sport.
