DALLAS, Texas – The American Southwest Conference today announced the 2024-25 ASC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Teams and Howard Payne University's Brylee Awbrey was named to the team list for volleyball.
 
An Honorable Mention All-Conference/Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year selection playing outside hitter, Brylee Awbrey appeared in 92 sets across 25 total games for the Lady Jackets. Brylee ranked third in kills (124) and total points (158) for the Lady Jackets. Awbrey also recording 22 assists. On the defensive side, Awbrey recorded 95 digs and 47 blocks. She was also a CSC Academic All-District honoree and was named HPU's Outstanding Student in Kinesiology and the ASC Medal of Honor winner.
 
Student-athletes were nominated by their institution as part of the Distinguished Scholar-Athlete team for each sport.
