Biography

2021: A third-team all-conference selection, Phipps played in all 10 games for the Yellow Jackets and broke the school record for PATs in a single game with 10 and most PATs in a season with 46. He finished the regular season 2nd in the ASC in PATs made and field goals made with six.

2020-21: Playing in all five games for the Yellow Jackets, Blake finished 4-6 in field goals, with his longest being 42 yards. He had 26 kickoffs for a total of 1,496 yards. He went 18-for-18 in extra-point attempts. Blake was named the ASC Special Teams Player of the Week on time this season.

2019: Playing in all ten games for the Yellow Jackets, he finished 3-7 on field goals with his longest coming at 43 yards.  He had 48 kickoffs for 2138 yards and went 35-37 on extra point attempts.

2018: Did not see action on the field.

2017: Played in five games for the Yellow Jackets. Finished the season 4-6 on field goals with a long of 35 yards. Had 14 kickoffs for 552 yards. Finished the season a perfect 9-9 on extra point attempts. Best performance came against Sul Ross State as he hit 3-3 field goals with a long of 35.

HS: A kicker from Dripping Springs, he was named 1st team All-District Kicker. He also participated in soccer.

Personal: Phipps is the son of Keith and Kristin Phipps and has one sibling. Majoring in Kinesiology and wants to become a coach in the future.
