Summary

Biography

2021: Parker was named the American Southwest Conference player of the year, first-team All-Conference, Region 3 offensive player of the year, first-team All-Region, and AFCA second-team All-American. He played in all 10 games for the Yellow Jackets and led the ASC in four major offensive categories at the end of the season, including total receiving yards (1,113), yards per game (111.9), receptions (52), and touchdowns (13 receiving, 15 total). Parker had a season-long reception of 70 yards versus Mary Hardin-Baylor and a game-high 184 yards receiving versus East Texas Baptist. He also ran 10 times for 119 yards and a touchdown and was 2-for-2 passing for 24 yards. In addition, he returned four kicks for 66 yards, 14 punts for 191 yards, and a touchdown and posted four solo tackles and two interceptions on defense. He was named offensive player of the week one time this season. 

2020-21: A first-team All-Conference wide receiver, Jake led the ASC and the nation in receiving yards with 754 in five games. He also led the league in yards per game (150.8) and receptions per game (7.5). He recorded six touchdowns and had a season-long reception of 72 yards versus Belhaven. Jake was named the ASC offensive player of the week one time this season, and he was also honored with a spot on the D3 national team of the week one time this season.

2019: Appearing in all ten games for the Yellow Jackets, he received 32 passes for 415 total yards and two touchdowns.  His longest came at 39 yards in the opening game of the season at Austin College.  He also recorded three total tackles on the year.

Previous School: Jake attended Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas, before transferring to Howard Payne.

HS: Jake played three years of football at Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas.  He was a TSWA Second Team All-State selection in 2014 and First Team All-District honoree.  He holds the record for most receiving yards in a single season at Whitehouse.  He was a multi-sport athlete, participating in baseball and basketball.

Personal: Jake is the son of Chad and Angie Parker and has two siblings.  He is pursuing a degree in Kinesiology.
