HS: Amaris played basketball at El Paso High School in El Paso, Texas, where she was a four-time All-District 1-5A selection. She was named the 2023-2024 Offensive MVP for District 1-5A, 2023-2024 All-Region 1-5A, and 2023-2024 All-City Team. In addition, Amaris earned Academic All-District honors three times and was recognized with 2023-2024 All-State Academic Honorable Mention. Over the course of her four years, she was also an integral part of the athletic training staff.

Personal: Amaris is the daughter of Rick and Loraine Ambriz and has four siblings. She is currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical Science with aspirations to become a pathologist. In her community, Amaris has been actively involved in her church, serving as an altar server for nearly 10 years. Additionally, she coaches basketball at a youth summer camp called "Basketball in the Barrio," helping to mentor and inspire young athletes.
