HS: Elijah attended Pearsall High School in Pearsall, Texas. A three-year Letterman, Elijah saw success on and off the field, getting Academic All-District every year. As the team captain/MVP, Elijah tied the school record in rushing touchdowns, a record held since 1995. After his success, Elijah was honored at multiple events, including the San Antonio Sports All-Star Athlete, South Texas Coaches Association All-Star, five-time Maverick Player of The Week, and the San Antonio Express News Game Ball Award. Elijah was also a decorated athlete in basketball, baseball, and track.
 
Personal: Elijah is the son of David Luna and Cynna Cabasos and he has seven siblings. He was involved in the Dilly Youth Football Organization and the Adopt a Texas Highway Program. He is studying Business to start a career in real estate.
