2019: Joshua Gerig was an Honorable Mention All-Conference selection at shortstop. Gerig finished the season hitting .309 in ASC play, driving in 24 RBIs for the total season. Gerig's .984 fielding percentage on the season was the highest of any short stop in the ASC, and his zero errors in conference play led the ASC. Was an Academic All-Conference selection and a member of the ASC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Team.

2018: Started in 23 of 23 games played in for HPU driving in 17 runs on 22 hits. He had three doubles and two triples with 21 walks. With a .314 avg at the plate, Gerig scored 22 runs with 29 total bases.

College: Attended Linn-Benton Community College before transferring to Howard Payne.

High School: A native of Lebanon, Oregon, Gerig graduated from East Linn Christian Academy in 2013. He played two years of varsity baseball, basketball and soccer and helped lead his team to basketball team to a state title. Joshua was his teams MVP his junior and senior season and helped lead them to their first state tournament appearance in program history.

Personal: Majoring in business and wants to become a college athletic director upon graduation. Graduated high school with honors and finished community college with a 3.6 GPA and a transfer degree. Joshua is the son of Lynn and Lori Gerig and he has three siblings.
