2008- Playing in 22 matches for Howard Payne, Melanie had 73 digs. Her season high came against Hardin-Simmons with 15 in a 4 game match.

Cisco JC- In the classroom Melanie was named Outstanding Criminal Justice Student at Cisco JC.

HS-Melanie is a 2006 graduate from Eastland high school. Lettering in softball and track as well she led her high school volleyball team to the Bi-District title and earned herself 1st team All-District honors twice.

Personal-She is the daughter of David and Allison Cain. Melanie is majoring in Criminal Justice and plans to become a criminal profiler after graduation.
