BELTON, Texas – The Howard Payne volleyball team fell in straight sets to Belhaven University (12-25, 22-25, 16-25) and University of Texas at Tyler (13-25, 16-25, 14-25) in day two of the American Southwest Conference Crossover Challenge on Saturday.
The Lady Jackets played tough, but couldn't get themselves out of their early holes they found themselves in. 
Callie Molloy led the team with 4 kills. 
Alyssa Beasley, 
Shelbie Harry and 
Madison Pendill each picked up 3. 
Cheyanne Lovelady recorded 8 assists. 
Katie Schulte also added 7.
Belhaven had 42 kills on the match and were led by Molly Boyer who had 16. Kelly Aholt had 29 assists while also picking up 10 digs
.
Howard Payne squared off against UT-Tyler later in the afternoon, but fell in 3 sets in their final game of the ASC Crossover Challenge. 
Alyssa Beasley led the team with 6 kills. 
Callie Molloy and 
Shelbie Harry each had 5. 
Cheyanne Lovelady notched 11 assists on the match. 
Analisa Anzaldua had 7 digs respectively.
UT-Tyler had things clicking for them on offense and defense picking up 41 kills and 68 digs.  Courtney Criswell had 14 kills. Emily Robinson and Rachel Harvey each had 22 digs. Rebecca Floyd had 25 assists.
After both matches, the Lady Jackets are now 0-10 overall and 0-5 in conference play. Howard Payne will be back in action on Tuesday, September 29th in its home opener against Sul Ross State University at 6:00 p.m.
