NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The Howard Payne University women's basketball team fell 105-35 in an exhibition game versus Stephen F. Austin State University Saturday afternoon.
Out powered by NCAA D-I Stephen F. Austin, Howard Payne lost the rebounding battle 46-28 and only shot 28.8% from the field in the game.
Chelsey Harris led Howard Payne with 12 points followed by Jada Evens with six.
Djimonii Jackson and
Dominique Featherstone each finished with five rebounds. Chelsi Woodard added a game high three blocks.
SFA was led by Stevi Parker and Marissa Banfield with 14 points each. Parker also had 11 rebounds.
Howard Payne will travel to Seguin, Texas on Monday to play Texas Lutheran University at 6:00 pm before going to Beaumont, Texas to play D-I Lamar University on Tuesday.
