BROWNWOOD, Texas- The #24 Mary-Hardin Baylor Cru traveled to Brownwood the afternoon of Oct. 20th and took down the Lady Jackets 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-10).
The Cru, ranked 24th in the nation, has yet to drop a conference match. But it didn't look that way as HPU played up to their level and hung tough most of the match. HPU jumped out to an early 6-2 lead in set one until UMHB scored 4 straight points to tie at 7-7 and then moments later 5 straight to get a head 12-8. The Lady Jackets fought back within a few points, but ended up coming up just short.
Zhartaezia Bradley finished leading both teams in kills with 12,
McKenna Walker tallied up 23 assists and
Mya Ross had 7 digs on the afternoon.
The Lady Jackets will be back home on Tuesday, October 23rd, to take on Texas Lutheran University. You can find live stats and links to that match on HPUSports.com.
